Announcement - 27th June 2016

It is with great sadness that I write to inform you that my dear wife Karen was admitted to a hospice in Birmingham on Monday June 13, where she passed away, peacefully, in no distress and no pain, at 19:05 in the evening of June 21. I was with her at the end.

Many of you would have been aware of her deteriorating condition – particularly during the first half of the year. She was very positive about the outcome of her illness, almost to the end, though sadly a positive outcome was not to be.

Thank you to so many of you who have supported us over the past twelve months or so.

There will be a small private cremation service next Friday July 1 but later in the year, it is hoped that a concert in celebration of Karen’s life can be arranged, with the proceeds being given to the hospice where Karen spent just those few days, receiving exemplary care and compassionate medication.
